Photography at Oak Mountain State Park

Saturday, March 30

Tiny blooms and the pretty colors of spring wildflowers show their best at Oak Mountain State Park, where you can see them, and take their picture. Bring your DSLR camera (required), your favorite lens(es) -- a macro lens, or macro rings will be helpful -- and tripod, to the Office Park classroom for a lecture to learn about photographing wildflowers, with tips and techniques. Close-up photography with a macro lens to be covered in the lecture. Following the classroom session, the group will go to specific location(s), and photograph spring wildflowers at the park. Walking and hiking will be easy-to-moderate.

The Springtime Wildflowers photography class will be taught by Meg McKinney, a professional photographer. Sign up by clicking on "Going"; and send e-mail to meg@megmckinneyphotos.com, for confirmation, to present at the park's gate.

Class fee is $20 per person + $5 park fee per person. Payments to be made directly to Meg McKinney -- cash; via PayPal + $2 admin fee to Meg McKinney Photos; VISA/MC +$2 admin fee.

See you at the park!

Note: Some 2019 photography classes will be scheduled to begin an hour earlier at 9 AM, than in the past, because of the quality of sunlight
