Alabama Wildlife Center

Mostly a volunteer operated nonprofit, the Alabama Wildlife Center was founded in 1977 and is Alabama's oldest and largest wildlife rehabilitation organization. Alabama Wildlife Center annual treats approximately 1,800 native wild birds from more than 100 different species. The Center's dual mission is to provide medical and rehabilitative care for Alabama's injured and orphaned native wildlife in order to permit their return to the wild, and to educate people in order to heighten awareness and appreciation of Alabama's native wildlife.

Owl-O-Ween at Alabama Wildlife Center
Learn more about Alabama's native owl species at Owl-O-Ween! We will have owl themed crafts, treats, games, and other fun activities throughout the day including a live bird of prey show. Come by and meet our education ambassador owls, and enjoy a treat. We may even have a rehabilitated owl to release back into the wild!

This event is FREE with admission to Oak Mountain State Park.
